Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has chided opposition leader Raila Odinga that the deputy president will win any elective seat in 2022 even if his push for Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) succeeds.
He said that BBI has a hidden agenda of some ascending to power through the back door.
“The opposition leader is masquerading under handshake to sneak in amendments through BBI aimed at stopping Ruto from ascending to the presidency," said the Soy MP.
Kositany who spoke to the press at Cheplelaibei Secondary school in Soy Constituency Uasin Gishu County where he presented a bus on Tuesday said the constitutional change will not deter Ruto from ascending to power.
“Raila has a sinister motive against Ruto having viewed him as a threat in 2022 succession politics and he is using the BBI to stop him. He won’t succeed since Ruto will be president whether he likes it or not,” added the Jubilee party first-term MP.
He further said he will strongly oppose and campaign against the BBI if it won't address issues affecting their people.
Kositany hit out at the opposition leader Raila Odinga for threatening other politicians and Kenyans that there is going to be a Tsunami that will swallow those who won't support BBI terming such utterances as inciteful and ill-intended.
He called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to publicly say if he will support his deputy come 2022 or has changed his mind.
