Nyali MP Mohammed Ali alias Jicho Pevu has expressed disgust to an aspirant who knelt down before ODM leader Raila Odinga on Sunday.
Celebrated DJ Kriss Darling knelt before ODM leader Raila Odinga in a fully backed Kamkunji grounds as the race to succeed Ken Okoth commenced.
While delivering his speech, the DJ, who is keen to be elected, moved closer to Mr Odinga and knelt down as his supporters burst into songs and dances.
“I have heard that there are many young men in Parliament fighting Baba (Raila), allow me as their fellow youth to go fight them in there as you wait to fight in 2022," he said while kneeling before Odinga.
He further stated he was ready to take a bullet for the ODM leader if that would let him lead the country in 2022.
“Let them shoot me, if it means that you remain and lead in 2022… I ask that you hold my hand Baba…” he went on.
But in a tweet, Mohammed Ali seemed to condemn the incident as unethical, a move that could yet again out him at loggerheads with ODM brigade.
"Dunia Gunia," said Ali, in reference to a sack, another indication that he strongly disapproved the move by the youthful aspirant.
In 2017, Ali cut ties with orange party, after losing in party primaries to a man believed to be Governor Hassan Joho's cousin. The two have been clashing for years.
Mr Ali, a former investigative journalist, was a close confidant of Mr Odinga. Kibra ODM supporters will chose their candidate in August 31st ahead of November 7 by-elections.
