Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has assured fans that he will be "fitter than ever" when he recovers from the injury.
The injury made Rashford miss out in the Man United squad that clashed with Liverpool on Sunday that ended in a 2-0 defeat.
Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer affirmed that the Old Trafford top scorer suffered a stress fracture on his back when they played against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Emirates FA cup competitions.
During their recent match against Liverpool, Old Gunnar updated the Manchester United fraternity that Rashford would be back during the mid-season break as the fracture heals within six weeks.
"He won’t be back until after the mid-season break. Normally a stress fracture is six weeks to heal and then he would probably need some recovery or rehab after that,” Ole Gunnar said, as quoted by the club's official website.
The optimistic Rashford took to Twitter to announce that he would be in team sessions and meetings although he is injured.
"On the pitch or not, @ManUtd fans don’t get much bigger than me. You best believe I'll be involved in team meetings, team huddles and team sessions throughout this recovery," Rashford tweeted.
He also assured fans that he would be seen in the pitch soon and he will perform better than ever.
"Blink and I'll be back, fitter than ever. See you soon," Rashford noted, in another tweet.
Marcus Rashford has been in a fine form this season, leading a youthful United attack.
He has so far scored 14 goals in the English Premier League and he is ranked among the top scorers so far.
