Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has castigated Elgeyo Marakwet county governor Alex Tolgos for complaining that the burden of healthcare in his (Tolgos) view is unbearable.
The vocal MP shared his sentiments together with the video of the governor's speech on his official Facebook page.
In the video, as the governor was talking to the press, he suggested that it was time to negotiate with the national government, to see whether the health docket in his county could be reverted back.
"Maybe at some point, we will agree we do public participation. Maybe tuseme health imekuwa mzigo, irudi Nairobi (maybe we can say health has become a burden and should be reverted back to Nairobi)," argued Tolgos.
Sudi urged the governor to stop contemplated plans to handover the county government health functions to the nation over a claim that he (Alex Tolgos) was unable to manage it.
According to Sudi, the Elgeyo Marakwet governor was to be blamed for the genesis of all the problems bedevilling the county's health department. He referred to Tolgos as a 'real baggage' and a 'liability' to the county.
In legislator's opinion, the governor was only concerned with what would benefit him instead of thinking critically and creatively in order to come up with amicable solutions to the challenges at hand.
"I want to tell my friend Governor Alex Tolgos, you cannot betray people of Elgeiyo Marakwet by handing over their county government. You are the real baggage and liability to the county. Your brain must have been swallowed by your belly," read part of Sudi's post.
He advised the governor to visit the nearest gym in order to trim off the fat in his belly.
