In a video shared by the 'Ni Nchi ya Kitu Kidogo' hitmaker,  Wainaina is heard mocking the flamboyant county boss in his lyrics.

He calls on Sonko, in the song, to make the jails better claiming that is where he is headed to.

The vocals of the 'mocking' songs are accompanied by the sound of a piano.

"Clean up the jails Mr Sonko, that's where you are going... Make it good, make them good, you are going home," Wainaina sings

Governor Sonko was dramatically arrested last week on Friday in Voi, Taita Taveta County.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), which has pressed charges against the governor, claimed that he had been trying to evade arrest, a charge he has strongly denied.

His attempt to get bail did not yield fruit as he was remanded in custody after his arraignment in court. He was charged with multiples crimes including economic crimes following the misappropriation of Sh357 million.

The governor was taken to Kamiti Maximum Prison and is reported to have fallen sick while there.

He was rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital to undergo treatment. His bail ruling will be rendered on Wednesday.
