Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has told off a section of his colleagues in the political arena, mocking his communication profession.
He has been bashed by a section of politicians over his recent claims that his life is in danger, with some dismissing him as being comical.
The attacks have been inspired by his previous job as a producer of the TV series Cobra Squad, which, however, no longer airs on the screens.
Responding to the group on Sunday, Mutua said Cobra Squad was a success, adding that he raked in a whooping Sh36 million from the show.
“I made Sh25 million from Cobra Squad in the first season. In the second season, I made Sh11 million from the programme," he said during an interview on K24's Punchline.
He insisted that the alleged threats on his life were genuine, linking them to his stand against land grabbing and corruption.
According to Mutua, the trio (Deputy President William Ruto, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, and Garissa Town MP Aden Duale), could also be angry with him, over with his demands for a lifestyle audit.
"Ruto, Murkomen and Duale thought I was attacking them when I called for a lifestyle audit, fight against graft and land-grabbing," he added.
All the mentioned leaders have since come out to dismiss the allegations.
