Miguna has not been in good terms with the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led party since his deportation to Canada in 2018, after taking part in Raila's mock oath.

But Wanga says that the bad blood between the two sides is actually being caused by Miguna, whose regular attacks on the party and Raila are making it hard to associate with him.

In an interview on Daybreak on Tuesday, she said that it's not the party that has disowned the controversial politician but it is him who has decided to sever relations with ODM.

"Miguna disowned ODM if you saw the amount of insults he has been throwing on the party, on Raila, on everybody, how would you associate with," she said.

About Miguna's participation in Raila's coronation, she said that the same is not a big deal, as Miguna only came in midway into the planning of the exercise.

She noted that the barrister was not a member of the party or the NASA alliance from the start, and might have come from the Jubilee side or even voted for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

She said that though Miguna was part of the opposition's movement against Uhuru's reelection, he should not act as if he owned the entire process.

"He was part of the process but he was not the owner of the process," she added.
