People came out in large numbers asking why the county decided to go for another vehicle when there are already vehicles the late governor, Joyce Laboso left behind.

She passed away after a long struggle with cancer. The incoming county boss has now faced criticism from residents.

However, a section of political pundits have rubbished off these claims terming them as fake.

The Bomet County government on Thursday, before the swearing-in of Barchok pointed out that they haven't bought a new car, more so, they claimed that they don't have money to buy a new car for the incoming governor.

However, a source to Citizen TV indicated that the county had merely hired the vehicle for the incoming governor's inauguration and movements for just two days.

The county has not also commented on the whereabouts of the vehicle given to the late Laboso during her time as the governor.

Dr Barchok inauguration ceremony will be attended by Deputy President William Ruto among other top politicians.
