Speaking on on Saturday, political commentator and youth activist Ruth Amboko urged the youth to take time to read the document.

She advised them to make their decision basing on their understanding of the document, and its ability to benefit them, and avoid being deceived.

Amboko said relying on politicians will subject youths to deceit, as politicians are pushing for what is good for themselves and not Kenyans.

"The problem with being read for is that the one reading for you only focuses on what benefits them, so its better to read it yourself. (Shida ya kusomewa ni eti yule anakusomea anakuangazia tu yale yanamnufaisha, kwa hivyo ni bora kujisomea)," she said on Radio Jambo.

She divulged that she will personally be organising public participation functions to raise awareness regarding the document and the need to read it.

"The report is huge and has used hard language but as youth groups, we will be coming to the grassroots to explain it to the youth so that they can make a choice. (Ni kweli ripoti yenyewe ni kubwa na imetumia lugha ngumu lakini makundi ya vijana tutakuja kule mashinani kueleza vijana ili wajue kama wataipitisha ama wataiangusha)," she added.

On Wednesday, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, was criticised by President Uhuru Kenyatta for saying he will rely on ODM leader Raila Odinga's understanding of the document to make his decision.
