Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi will have to stay a little bit longer in Nairobi Hospital that initially expected, it has now emerged.
Mrs Momanyi was involved in Silverstone plane crash last week at, an incident that caught the country by surprise given that no such accident has ever occurred within Wilson Airport.
The first term legislator was rushed to Nairobi Hospital where she has been undergoing treatment with reports indicating that she was to leave the facility over the weekend.
But doctors at the facility, he daughter has confirmed, say that she will have to stay a little longer within the hospital until she fully recovers.
"We were expecting her this weekend but unfortunately, we have to wait a little longer. Doctors want her to fully recover before discharging her," Deborah Momanyi said.
"But I can assure you that she's out of danger. Her arm has been treated. Hopefully, by next week she will have resumed her duties," she said.
Mrs Momanyi has been playing a major role in drumming support for Interior CS Fred Matiang'i, who is reportedly preparing to join active politics.
Initially, she was one of Deputy President William Ruto's supporters. She only left the camp in June, arguing that the Abagusii people should unite and give a presidential candidate.
Dr Ruto will be returning to Gusii on Thursday with the team allied to him vowing to push for his presidential bid, discrediting Dr Matiang'i's candidature.
