In the company of Transport CS James Macharia on Saturday, Mr Odinga ordered suspension of dredging activities along Likoni channel.

Government officials are in the process of retrieving the bodies of Mariam Kighenda and her daughter Amanda Mutheu who drowned last Sunday.

While Raila called for suspension of dredging activity on the sea shores to foster ocean visibility, CS Macharia declared that all “that needs to be done shall be done” by the state to retrieve the bodies and the car.

On Sunday, Rigathi dismissed Odinga's orders as jokes, adding that he has no audacity to issue instructions to civil servants in Kenya.

"I heard someone giving instructions to civil servants yet he's the opposition leader. They should ignore such fake orders," he said.

"He has no such powers. We only have one president. He can't purport to take Uhuru's powers. We defeated him and that's the reality," he added.

Mr Gachagua is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto and has often accused Mr Odinga of allegedly undermining Jubilee administration.

The MP has also warned that Central Kenya region will overwhelmingly vote for Deputy President William Ruto, dismissing the handshake team.
