Former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim has decried a bad trait in Kenyans, which he says has always ended up landing them in trouble with time.
In a tweet Friday, he observed that Kenyans have made it a habit to dare others, forgetting that they might end up being the ultimate victims.
He cited Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) bosa Raila Odinga who dared his former ally and current Deputy President William Ruto to leave his side after their 2010 fallout.
Maalim, a former member of the ODM party and an ex-Deputy National Assembly Speaker says that Raila is now having it hard accessing power due to the same.
The same, he added, is the reason behind the ongoing maritime border tussle between Kenya and Somalia, where Kenya has accepted dialogue after daring Somalia to do her worst.
"There's a trait as Kenyans we all share from President/PM to a man in the streets. Whenever we have a disagreement we retort "si aende", or "utado?".Raila told WSR "si aende" and has been watching power from the sidelines since. We're now forced to eat humble pie in NY after MFA mess," he wrote.
Despite vowing to not engage in any talks regarding Kenya's boundaries, President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday night met Somalia's Mohammed Faarmajo Abdullahi (MFA) for talks.
This was done the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly in New York (NY) and was brokered by Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al Sisi.
