In the track which until Tuesday was trending at number one on YouTube Kenya, the rapper addressed a number of economic and political problems the country is facing, including poor governance and corrupt leaders who are still holding offices.

Political leaders who were mentioned in the track included Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Mike Sonko (Nairobi) and their Kiambu counterpart Ferdinand Waititu, all of them mentioned for poor leadership and corruption claims.

In Tanzania, what King Kaka did is not a new thing. A rapper, Nay Wa Mitego, in 2017 also dissed Pombe Magufuli's government.

In his song dubbed 'Wapo' which loosely translated to 'They are there, or they exist', the rapper attacked Magufuli's government where he said some leaders in his government were abusing drugs and smoking bhang.

"There are leaders who smoke Marijuana, yes there are. (Kuna viongozi wavuta bangi, wapo)," reads part of the lyrics.

He further said Magufuli was running the country like he was after gaining fame, in what he described as 'kiki".

The rapper went further and said Tanzania was losing freedom of speech under Magufuli's leadership before he said some Tanzanians were missing former president, Jakaya Kikwete's style of leadership.

"So attacking others' offices is a job? Am told mugging is also a job. (kuvamia ofisi za watu he kumbe pia ni kazi, et vipi kukapa pia ni kazi), another part of the lyrics says..

What Tanzania did was to ban the song and have it deleted from all social media platforms. The rapper was also arrested and later pulled down the video from YouTube.

Since then, the song never plays on Tanzanian local media houses. The rapper was also banned from performing the song.
