The chairman of the Council of Governors, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has decried the destabilisation of operations in the 47 counties.
Speaking on Thursday, the Kakamega county boss said that workers in the counties were on a go-slow in protest of the delay in the payment of their salaries.
"At the moment, county workers are on a go-slow due to lack of supplies and payment of salaries. This has destabilised services across several counties and we cannot ignore this anymore, " the COG chairman said.
Governor Oparanya said that the hardline stances that had been taken by some members of the joint committee were making it difficult for a resolution to the revenue allocation impasse.
The county governments are yet to reach a conclusion with the national government.
President Uhuru Kenyatta's intervention in the dispute has not yielded much.
The president had called on the county governments to accept what had been offered to them saying that the government did not have the additional funds counties are demanding for.
Treasury has not yet released funds to the accounts of the counties as the National Assembly has not given its approval for the funds to be released.
