Through his official Facebook page post on Friday, Murkomen said he is now well and has been discharged from hospital after undergoing a successful operation.

"After suffering an injury while playing football in Kitui on Monday I underwent a procedure on Tuesday to reconstruct my coracoclavicular ligament. I thank Prof.Ating’a for a job well done together with Dr.Wanyoike & Dr.Arunga plus the rest of the medical team," said the Senate Leader of Majority

"I have been discharged today and will continue with the recovery process. I received amazing support from my wife, parents, siblings, in-laws, friends and colleagues. Thank you for the visits, prayers, calls, messages of encouragement and well wishes. Glory to God who declares in Jeremiah 30:17 that “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," he added.

Murkomen was injured while playing the game that was a curtain-raiser for the second Senate Mashinani sittings that were being held at the Kitui County Assembly buildings this week.
