Kenyans across the country continue to debate the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report which was launched at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi on Wednesday last week.
Amid these debates, politics seem to be taking a centre stage as various groupings either oppose or support the report.
The BBI report was launched in an event graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy William Ruto and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking while he hosted Suna East MP Junet Mohamed on KTN News’ Point Blank Show on Wednesday, TV host Tony Gachoka said that Odinga is already concerned about the route some leaders have taken as far as debating the report is concerned.
“I normally don’t’ disclose confidences but I was concerned because I spoke to the Prime Minister (Raila Odinga) yesterday and he says he is very concerned that politics has entered the BBI,” Gachoka told Junet.
The host then asked the vocal MP whether he shares Odinga’s fears and concerns of politics finding its way into the report.
“I think there’s. This is a document that is supposed to address the issues Kenyans have been complaining about. They want to politicize this document, they want to rubbish it,” said Junet in an apparent reference to leaders supporting DP Ruto’s 2022 State House bid.
The BBI report continues to draw various reactions from Kenyans.
