Ruto last week claimed that Tuju is now working as a strategist for opposition boss Raila Odinga despite being a top official in the ruling Jubilee party.

Speaking on Wednesday, Nduko noted that Tuju controls no political base at all and cannot match the DP's muscle, and should not, therefore, give him sleepless nights.

He added that the Tuju would equally be useless to Raila on matters voter mobilisation, another reason why Ruto should not be worried, even if his suspicions are correct.

"I don't think Tuju can command more votes than Ruto or Raila. So saying be is a strategist of the opposition is not right," said Nduko on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation show.

Ruto's remarks came at a time when Tuju has been seen working closely with Raila, a relationship that began after Raila's 2018 truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Forces allied to the DP have since doubled the pressure on Tuju to resign, arguing that he is out to frustrate Ruto's 2022 presidential ambitions.
