Eric Omondi who recently flew to South Africa produced his own version of South African legendary musician Lucky Dube's 'different colours' song.

The song by Lucky Dube preached peaceful co-existence among people from different countries; a message which seems to be timely for the South Africans.

Alongside the video of a modified version of the song,  Omondi claimed Africa is one.

"#LuckyDube Our flags have different colors but we are one color ONE AFRICA," he wrote on Instagram.

Kenyan musician Bien Baraza from Sauti Sol band, on the other hand, composed an emotional song that also called for an end to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

In the song, the singer sings on how xenophobia is poisonous. He further adds that an eye for an eye leaves two blind.

"We need love on the other side of the border, We need love on the other side of the wall, We need love on the other side of the border, We need love on the other side don't you know. You know nobody wins when we fight. And an eye for an eye leaves 2 blind. Xenophobia can't you see is poisonous. Black on black it's obvious. They divide and conquer us. Nobody wins when we fight," Bien sings in the video shared on his Instagram page.

Other celebrities who have also called for an end to the xenophobic attacks include; Harmonize, Zari Hassan Chipukeezy and Akothee.
