Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has appealed to social media users especially parents to stop sharing the video of the Consolata boy.

Speaking on the Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) aired on Wednesday on Citizen TV, the outspoken MP contended that sharing the obscene video would only do more damage to the boy.

"If you are a parent please don't share the video of that young boy because you are not helping him. You are making him feel like a hero, " she said.

The Suba North MP said that what the Consolata boy required more than anything else is help to dissuade him away from the path he was trending on.

She called on the Child Protection Unit to carry out investigations to determine the circumstances that he was living in.

The young boy featured in a video in which he was seen spewing obscenities and threatening his schoolmate with death to the shock of Kenyans.

Millie has been one of the few high profile people who have defended the boy, saying that he probably did not know the implications of what he was saying.

Kenyans across social media platforms shared the video widely, triggering a public debate on parenthood.

Scores of Kenyans have called for the boy to be given a heavy punishment so that he knows what he did was wrong.
