Deputy President William Ruto is openly a surrounded man who had been disarmed and sat on the ground by his enemies, with regards to his 2022 presidential ambitions.

The DP is currently being fought from all sides, among his apparent enemies being President Uhuru Kenyatta who now seems more friendly to his (Ruto) rival and ODM boss Raila Odinga.

With the two controlling more than half of the electorate, it would be almost impossible for the DP to carry the day in the polls, should there be a clean and unmanipulated race.

At the same time, Ruto is battling graft allegations which will most likely take away Kenyans' support at a time when the country has decided to wipe out the menace completely.

Without the support of Kenyans and leaders who can tilt the masses in his favour, the DP stands no chance at all, leaving him with only one option, which is his last, the deep state.

With the support of the powerful group of faceless forces who control the Kenyan political arena and decide with leads, he might end up pulling the Kibaki stunt of 2007.

It's worth noting that the retired president somehow managed to controversially win the presidency at a time when everybody was against him and in support of Raila.

Among the known members of the group is business mogul Jimmy Wanjigi who openly revealed that the Jubilee government of 2013 was formed in his Muthaiga house.

Wanjigi made the remarks after the police raid on his home in late 2017, where he added that he even funded the Jubilee campaigns, but the same government was back to victimize him.

Should he fail to win the deep state's support and decide to approach the elections in his current condition, against the growing Uhuru-Raila union, Ruto will register a humiliating loss.
