The Ekuru Aukot-led party received former Isiolo North parliamentary hopeful Mohammed Abdullahi, who was officially received at the party offices by party officials, led by Secretary General Frederick Okango.

In a tweet after the same, Aukot said that Mr Abdullahi is as well a strong supporter of the party's Punguza Mizigo constitutional amendment push.

"This morning we have received into our party @Thirdwaykenya Mr.Mohammed Abdullahi from the New Vision Party of Kenya. Mr Abdullahi is a former MP aspirant in Isiolo North and a strong supporter of of #PunguzaMizigoBill2019," he tweeted.

This comes at a time when the party is in the process of lobbying for the passage of the bill in the county assemblies, where it needs the backing of 24 houses to realize.

Among its proposals is the scrapping off of Deputy Governor and Woman Representative positions, in what the party believes will go a long way in reducing the current huge wagebill.

Despite participating in the 2017 polls, where Aukot emerged a distant third and second in the October 26 presidential rerun, the party did not win even a single elective seat.
