Mombasa Agriculture County Executive Hassan Mwamtoa is on the spotlight over allegations of demanding sexual favours in exchange for service provision.
The CEC has been reported by a Mombasa Civil Organization, Power Charitable Organization, over claims of demanding the same from a woman who sought service from his office.
The organization coordinator Mgandi Kalinga has since written to the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission over the same, copying the letter to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the County Secretary.
Kalinga, who has also availed an audio clip as evidence, also wants county governor Hassan Joho to sack the official, saying that his actions go against chapter six of the constitution, on leadership and integrity.
“Indeed, a simplified access to the audio reveals of a State officer demanding sex from a desperate woman begging to be served on tax payers money. Power Charitable Organisation has done a desk review to content analyzed from the clip and the output and any outcome of an ultimate action-oriented result must fill the gaps left by the Governor of Mombasa ,” reads the letter seen by People Daily.
However, reached for his comment, Mwamtoa dismissed the claims as baseless, saying that he will not waste his time addressing them.
He also rubbished the allegations as unfounded, and not worth responding to.
“I have nothing to say in regard to those allegations, they are unfounded. I cannot waste my time discussing them,” he told the People Daily on Wednesday.
