While confirming that the BBI taskforce will be meeting him to present its report on Tuesday, Uhuru said that he has not seen the document and doesn't know what is contained in it.

However, Wamwere has dismissed the remarks, suggesting that Uhuru might be lying and must be aware of what is in the document, as is the case with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

He says that having come up with the initiative and even picked the 14-member task force to head it, it is likely that the two might have even dictated what should be included in it.

"When Uhuru says he has not seen the report he is lying. This is a report on their own proposals, let's not be fooled as citizens (Uhuru anapotuambia eti hajaona hii BBI report ni uwongo. Hii ni ripoti ya mapendekezo yao, wananchi tusichezewe)," he said on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi on Saturday evening.

The former Assistant Minister predicted that the report will include expansion of the executive, which he claimed will be a move to open up the government to house more tribal kingpins.

According to the veteran politician, if this is the case; where even election losers are allocated spaces in government, then there is no need for the nation to hold elections.

"The problem is that we are creating potions for tribal kingpins. There is no need going to the polls if people will lose and are still given seats. (Shida ni eti tunaundia viongozi wa makabila viti. Ikiwa mtu atashindwa na apewe kiti, hakuna haja ya uchaguzi)," he added.

Uhuru and Raila have since called upon politicians opposed to the same to await the release of the report, after which they can oppose it on informed grounds.

At the same time, they have both promised to fully back and popularize the suggestions made by the taskforce.
