D’Souza is set to wed the love of her life, Simon Anderson, after they got engaged on a beach in India.

Taking to social media on Saturday to share the good news with her fans, the sassy actress said she was eagerly looking forward to become a wife after 40 years.

"The entire universe conspired to help us find each other and it was truly worth the wait," tweeted the former Capital FM presenter.

"I can't wait to marry you and look forward to a lifetime of adventures and special moments together," she added.

The renowned media personality is the co-owner of TV production company, Moonbeam Production, which has produced shows such as Travel Diaries, Mentality and Auntie Boss.

Despite featuring in many interviews, D'Souza has been avoiding questions about her love life, and has not posting about her relationships on  social media.

In an exclusive interview with a local publication last year, the actress narrated a carjacking and rape ordeal that took her about 10 years to heal from.

D'Souza said she was raped by two men, who she noted have never been arrested despite reporting the incident to relevant authorities.

“I went for one counselling session but I didn’t go back. It wasn’t for me. I instead dived into work and radio was my therapy. It took me longer to get past the attack this way. It happened in 2005 but I didn’t fully feel healed until around 2014,” she said.

"I’ll admit that to this day, I am very cautious about love. It takes a while for me to feel safe in the situation, but I think that’s better in the long run anyway," added the actress.
