Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has revealed that her operation went well.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Passaris noted that she slept well after the surgery
"Thank God my operation went well. I had my first pain-free night in over two months. Thank you all for having my back, for your prayers and for wishing me well. I start physio today with gratitude in my heart for the blessing of seeing another day," wrote Esther Passaris.
On Monday, the lawmaker was admitted at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi after feeling weak.
In a video she shared on social media, the legislator complained of undergoing too much pain in the recent past.
She revealed that her spinal cord had weakened, thus needed a surgical procedure.
This had given her a hard time doing even the simple exercises on her own.
According to Passaris, walking from one place to another became hard for her.
More so, the condition inhibited her from visiting the gym.
"I miss gyming, I have not been able to exercise. I can't walk for more than half an hour. I can't sleep at night and that's why I look exhausted. Even with the painkillers, I can't sleep," she said in her video.
