Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has poked more holes in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
In an interview with NTV on Tuesday, Khalwale said that time has come for both President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to accept that the report has created a platform for sideshows from both political factions.
He noted that the report has now been taken for granted with some of the leaders trying to use it for political mileage.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga should now swallow the bitter pill and accept that the BBI has become a soap opera," he said.
He cited the case of the rallies in Mombasa, Kisii and Kakamega where he said that the speakers of these events concentrated on rewriting the constitution of the country and nothing more than that.
The politician noted that leaders have been misguided as far as the report is concerned and they now want to concentrate on things that do not matter at the expense of those that matter in life.
"I would refer to what I saw in Kisii, Kakamega and Mombasa, a gathering of Kenyans. That gathering had an intention of rewriting the constitution of Kenya," he said.
