Apples are packed with various antioxidants that may be important to a child's body, notes Kerri-Ann Jennings, MS, RD, a dietitian. 

They offer numerous benefits ranging from giving a child a strong immune system to boosting the memory. 

This is why apples are beneficial to your kid; 

 1. They have high-quality carbohydrates

Apples are said to be packed with a higher amount of carbohydrates that are known for providing energy. Your child needs much energy to keep him or her active and strong all the time.

 2. Apples contain Vitamins and mineral

A number of minerals and vitamins have been reported to be present in apples.  They contain Vitamin B1, C, A, calcium, iodine and phosphorus nutrients

These nutrients are cardinal in promoting strong bones, healthy growth of muscle tissues and organs 

 3. Apples contain dietary fibre 

Dietary fibre may help in lowering the levels of bad cholesterol that causes heart-related complications. The fibre may also stave off constipation that occur as a result of eating foods with no fibres. The fibre can also help control diarrhoea. 

4. Prevent diabetes

Apples can control blood-sugar level by aiding the production of a high level of insulin hormones in the liver. In children who have diabetes should be given apples more often.
