Kenyan social media users have expressed their views over the 'Okoa Kiambu' campaign which is aimed at impeaching Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
This comes after 210,000 signatures were handed to the county assembly of Kiambu on Wednesday in a bid to start the impeachment process.
The campaign has been spearheaded by community leaders from different parts of Kiambu.
A good number of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) who took up the discussion for a better part of Wednesday supported the campaign.
They argued that the impeachment was necessary especially after the governor was barred from accessing his office by the court over a graft case. They added that the impeachment will be a major step in fighting corruption.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji stated last week that he has lined up 68 witnesses to testify against Waititu in the Sh580 million graft case.
