Dr Ruto accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to Mang'u in Nakuru County.

The two attended the burial of city lawyer Karanja Kabage who died last week. The two arrived in Nakuru at around noon where they joined other leaders.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto arrive in Mang'u, Nakuru for the burial of prominent lawyer Karanja Kabage," Citizen TV tweeted.

The former Constitutional Affairs minister also alerted her Twitter followers on her presence in the funeral which brought together several leaders.

"At Mangu in Rongai Nakuru county attending the burial service of a great son of Kenya, an accomplished businessman and Lawyer Karanja Kabage #RIPKK," she wrote.

Early this year, Karua dismissed Dr Ruto's presidential ambitions, insisting that of all the aspirants, the DP is the least qualified to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The former Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant maintained that she cannot support Ruto, arguing that his integrity is questionable.
