Kenyans have taken to social media after 13-year-old Bianca Wambui managed to raise over Sh2.4 million for her cancer treatment.
The young girl through the help of Jeff Koinange on Citizen TV's JKL show pleaded with Kenyans to help her raise the required amount of money for her breast cancer treatment.
Koinange took to Twitter shortly after to thank Kenyans for the support they had shown her.
In an hour, Kenyans expressed their unity by raising over Sh 2.4 million.
Taking to Twitter, netizens expressed their pride in the unity shown by Kenyans in helping the young girl.
They expressed their pride and patriotism with some citing that it is such moments that should define the strength, solidarity and unity of Kenyans.
A section of the Kenyans on Twitter, nonetheless, expressed their concern on the rising cases of cancer and requested the government to treat the disease with a lot of seriousness.
They suggested it be declared a national disaster and structures be put in place to curb it. They further insisted that it was vital for a permanent solution to be put in place to help those who cannot afford treatment.
