Senate Minority Leader James Orengo has joined the rest of Orange Democratic Movement battalion in mourning Mama Dorcas Ajwang'.

Mama Ajwang', died on Saturday evening. She is mother to former firebrand Homa Bay Senator Gerald Otieno Kajwang'.

Also, the octogenarian is the mother to current Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang' and Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang' among others.

"Condolences to the family of Mwalimu Ajwang' Nyakwamba on the passing of Mama Dorcas Akumu Ajwang'; mother to the late Sen. Otieno Kajwang', Sen. Moses Kajwang', Hon. TJ Kajwang' and many more. 

"Mama always stood for family values. May the Lord rest her soul in eternal peace," said Orengo, who doubles as Siaya Senator.

Otieno Kajwang', a former ODM vice chairman, died in 2014 under controversial circumstances. He's remembered for his Mapambano songs.

Also, the ODM party has sent condolences to the Kajwang' family, which is important within circles of its leader Raila Odinga in South Nyanza.
