Speaking exclusively to Anne Kiguta on the 'Punchline' programme on Sunday night, Kabogo appealed to the country's second in command to make a point of telling the Kenyan people what is the source of his wealth.

He went on to add that the deputy president should list the companies that belong to him and make clear the profits that he makes from them.

"This money he gives in churches, he should tell people where it comes from. He should say these are my companies and I get these dividends, " the former Kiambu county boss said.

DP Ruto has cultivated a reputation for making huge donations in churches across the country, with scores of Kenyans for the source of the donations to be placed under scrutiny.

Attempts to get him to come clean on what he is worth have hit a dead end.

In interviews with renowned journalists, he has refused to state what owns in monetary terms, asking why he is the only politician who is being put on the spot over his wealth.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga in an interview with NTV's Joseph Warungu said that he is worth around 2 billion shillings.
