South Mugirango Member of Parliament on Wednesday morning took to Facebook to make allegations that his life was in danger.
Disputing cowardice, the junior lawmaker alleged that a well-orchestrated plan had been hatched to have him dead, a team having been paid a deposit by people well known to him with the promise of settling the balance upon his death.
"I am not your usual crybaby. When I blow a trumpet, there is a reason behind it. As small as I am, my life is in danger. A well-orchestrated plan has been hatched to have me dead. A team has been paid a deposit by people well known to me with the promise of settling the balance upon execution," reads a section of the MP's post.
He went ahead to say that he was not seeking protection but rather wanted people to know that in case he died they should not be deceived that it was a natural death but rather a planned one.
"I am not writing here for your protection. I am simply informing you to know that in case they succeed, they shouldn't lie to you that it was natural. I ain't a coward and won't be cowed by anyone," adds the post.
He, however, went ahead to say that he had reported the issue to the authorities, expressing his lack of confidence in the fact that they would take an action.
"I am aware of everyone involved and have reported the same to the authorities. They might not do much, but let them not pretend they don't know," said the lawmaker.
The lawmaker went ahead to mention names, saying he would not be intimidated.
