DJ Evolve who was allegedly shot by Embakasi Member of Parliament Babu Owino has claimed that he is still fighting on after the Friday morning incident at B club where he works as a Deejay.
The DJ was speaking to his close friend Mikey Likulu in a video shared by the Likulu on his Instagram page.
Reports from Citizen TV indicate that Dj Evolve whose real name is Felix Orinda has been friends with Mikey Likulu since high school.
“I’m pushing on,” Dj Evolve stated in the video.
Mikey Likulu expressed his sympathy and wished him quick recovery.
He further revealed that Dj Evolve who was experiencing a lot of pain was responding to treatment, although he could not move some parts of his body.
“He is responsive and was able to recognise me by my full name as I entered the room but is unable to move from the chest downwards,” Likulu's Instagram post read.
The Deejay is receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital where he was taken to after the shooting.
He was scheduled to have a surgery on Friday night to remove the bullets from his body.
It is reported that Babu Owino was the one who took him to the hospital and paid for his medical bill.
Babu Owino is on the other hand still in police custody as investigation into the case continues.
