Renowned socio-political commentator Dismus Mokua has weighed in on the Kibra by-election slated for Thursday.
According to Mokua, there is no difference between Imran Okoth and McDonald Mariga, at least in the sense that both are having other people answer questions for them.
Speaking during a wide-ranging panel discussion aired on KTN, Mokua claimed that ODM leader Raila Odinga was answering questions on behalf of the party candidate Imran Okoth.
He also took issue with the fact that the ODM candidate had not made the point of speaking to the media.
"Mariga can't even address a rally on his own motion. Imran doesn't even have the opportunity of meeting the media, Raila Odinga answers all the questions.." Mokua was quoted by KTN News Alert in a tweet.
Residents of Kibra will flock to polling stations on Thursday to cast their votes which will determine who their next member of parliament will be.
The curtains officially come down on the period set for campaigning on Tuesday.
The national leaders of parties fronting candidates in the parliamentary race descended on the constituency in a bid to drum up support for their respective candidates.
A section of political commentators has framed the by-election as a proxy war between ODM leader Raila Odinga and his long-time political adversary Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
