57 people were arrested on Monday after they presented fake calling papers at the Moi Barracks.
The group was in company of other genuine KDF recruits who were reporting to the barracks for training.
Eldoret West DCIO Ali Samatar told Nairobi News that the 57 are being detained at Eldoret central police station to help police with investigations.
Police reports indicates that the fake calling papers were sold to the suspects by a cartel that had a national network since the fake letters were issued to people across all the regions in the country.
"Some of those arrested had not participated in the nationwide recruitment exercise. The group will be arraigned in court after police finish investigations," Samatar said, as quoted by Nairobi news.
