Orange Democratic Movement party has dismissed a request by embattled Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria to Edwin Sifuna for the possibility of joining Jubilee.
Mr Sifuna has been in charge of Orange House since 2017 after Raila Odinga handed him powers following the exit of Ababu Namwamba.
The vibrant lawyer has been one of Odinga's closest aides in recent past, participating in decision making and issuing critical press conferences.
Moses Kuria had asked Mr Sifuna to help Jubilee party, which is currently facing infightings and other obstacles.
"@edwinsifuna I plead with you to come and be our SG at Jubilee. You do not have the material to be SG at Jubilee but you can be co-sg," Kuria said, according to a tweet by KTN News.
But in a tweet, ODM dismissed the possibility, arguing that Sifuna is not for hire given that he's actively engaged in the party affairs.
"Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria acknowledges on Live TV show; KTN’s #MorningExpress that ODM is the most organized party in Kenya. That he admires its leadership and membership. He asks his party to poach SG @edwinsifuna to go and help it grow. We say NO THANK YOU," the party said.
In 2017, Sifuna ran for Nairobi senatorial post but lost to Senator Johnstone Sakaja of Jubilee Party.
