A viral video showing a 'misguided' youth thanking President Uhuru Kenyatta for giving him a state job has gone viral.
The 29-year-old Enosh Momanyi Onyango prepared a speech after he was told through The Standard Newspaper, that he had been appointed by the President as the Physical Planning Principal Secretary.
This was after his name against his picture was published to the newspaper on Wednesday, a day after the President re-shuffled the cabinet.
He noted that he received several calls from different people congratulating him for the nomination.
"Good evening fellow Kenyans, my name is Enosh Momanyi, I am 29 years old from Webuye West Constituency, Bungoma County. Today has been a good day waking up in the morning to calls and texts from people I know and those I don't know congratulating me for my appointment by the president to the position of the PS for Physical Planning," he stated.
He went further and thanked the President for believing in youths before he promised to deliver the best.
"I wish to thank HE Uhuru Kenyatta again, for believing in youths and acknowledging that youths will drive...?.. My desire is to align my responsibilities with Uhuru's Big 4 Agenda. As I conclude, I also wish to thank all Kenyans and I look forward to being a servant to all of you. Thank you,"
However, Standard has then through its digital platform, clarified that the nominated man was not the 29-year-old but his namesake.
