Four people were arrested on Saturday in Nyali, Mombasa after reportedly being found in possession of cocaine and bhang.
Confirming the incident, Nyali sub-county Police Commander Daniel Mumasaba said the suspects were busted with two sachets of bhang and seven grams of cocaine.
He divulged that police managed to arrest the four after receiving a tip off from members of the public.
According to the police, the street value of the drugs is Sh50,000, and an operation has been launched to nab other suspects involved in the vice.
“Officers from our station acting on a tip-off from members of the public raided a house in Nyali,” Mr Mumasaba said.
According to the police, the four are part of a gang that has been selling drugs in area.
Among the four are two foreigners; a Nigerian and a Swiss with the rest being Kenyans.
Police reports indicate that the foreigners were regular visitors in the area before they were arrested.
