On an interview with NTV on Tuesday, Kabogo said that President Uhuru Kenyatta needs everyone on board before presenting the report to the public. He said that the recent remarks from the allies of the second in command have sent a strong signal to the President.

"Is the president going to BBI alone? Because I believe he should be in BBI with his entire team, starting with DP Ruto, but from the look of things the brigade that runs with DP Ruto is against BBI," he said.

He also said that the head of state cannot discuss the report when he is not aware of its content. He asked leaders not to critic a report they have not seen yet.

"The president said he had not seen the BBI report and it was premature for him to say its contents," he said.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Murkomen Kipchumba, however, said that they can only support the initiative if there is no violence meted on the Deputy and his allies.

"We cannot continue pretending that picking a document and going forward to converse about it will solve the problem of violence in elections," he said.

Ruto has made it clear that he is only ready to back the report if it will create room for national dialogue over issues that affect Kenyans.
