Over 600 youths from Uasin Gishu County are set to benefit from the Ajira Digital Skills training project.
The one-week training is facilitated by the Uasin Gishu County government in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT.
Speaking while officially opening the training, County Chief Officer for ICT and e-Government John Kemboi, challenged the youth to make use of the government's ICT free facilities in learning matters innovation.
He said the world is going digital, adding that such training will help youths in the country get online jobs.
"As you go home, kindly inform some of your friends to come for this training as it has so many good things for you the youths," he said in Kapteldet ICT centre.
Every ICT centre in each Sub-county is expected to produce at least 100 youths for the training.
Among the ICT training centres include; Kapteldet ICT Centre in Kapseret Sub County, Kapnasu ICT Centre in Moiben Sub County, Wounifor ICT Centre in Ainabkoi Sub County, Nukiat ICT Centre in Soy Sub County, Cheplaskei ICT Centre in Kesses Sub County, and Turbo ICT Centre in Turbo Sub County.
