The photo-sharing app has some cool and easy to use features, that makes it very interesting to use, and will probably never run out of style.

That said, here are 5 tips and tricks that everyone fond of using Instagram should know in 2019.

1. Add rainbow texts for your Instagram stories

Single coloured texts are boring, especially for Instagram. That's why it's usually refreshing to look when you add different shades of colours in your texts.

Here's how you do it:

First, snap the picture or video you want to add text on, key in your text, then long press on a specific letter or word till the colour gradient pops up, and finally pick your desired colours for the letters.

2. Add music to your Insta story

Snapping a cute photo or recording a funny video is a huge part of making a good Instagram story's equation.

But what really makes your story stand out from others is adding a soundtrack to it.

Instagram adding this feature made things a little bit easier because before, one had to use a third party app to make this happen.

To add music to your story, tap the sticker button and pick the music sticker once you've taken a photo or video. Select your song of choice, preview it, choose the specific part of the song, once done, click the 'your story' button and publish it.

3. Saving your Insta live video

Though they expire after 24 hours, live videos can be saved, something that the majority are not aware of.

Saving your live video is as simple as ABC. The moment you've finished broadcasting live, tap the save button in the top right and voila, your video is saved in your gallery.

4. Uploading multiple photos at once

Instagram made work easier for many when they introduced this feature back in 2018.

To make this happen, tap the + icon at the bottom of the screen, then tap on the gallery, select up to 10 photos or videos, when you're done tap next.

If you wish to apply filters on your image or video, tap the filter button at the bottom of your phone screen, tag anyone if you wish to and finally tap the share button.

All your images or videos will be successfully shared on people's feeds.

5. Prevent trolls based on keywords

If you're experiencing social media trolling or bullying, and you don't want to stop using Instagram, this is the perfect tip for you.

Comment controls permit you to filter and block comments containing certain specific words.

Go to your profile then tap the hamburger icon (the 3 lines on your top right). Then go to settings, security and privacy.

Tap on comments, ensure the offensive comments button is on, turn on the manual filter, then tap the specific words, emojis, numbers or phrases you want to filter.
