Popular Kenyan comedian who is based in the UK Njambi McGrath on Thursday through a long Facebook post revealed details surrounding her controversial performance on Churchill Show where she was booed by the fans.
Njambi claimed in the post that Kenyan comedian Mwalimu Churchill requested her to come and perform at the Laugh Festival after he had seen her videos online.
The comedian revealed that she was told she would be paid for the performance and other expenses such as accommodation and flight tickets would be catered for.
According to Njambi, she was kept waiting longer than expected before she went on stage as she pointed out that the show was more occupied by advertisers and not comedians. She finally took to stage at around 1:00 am after she was not only tired but also hungry.
"On stage was a man from Israel selling goods. He was followed by a woman who spent 30 minutes of advertising shampoo for men. I was astonished by this as most men in the audience were bald. This was no longer a comedy show but a market place," a part of Njambi's Facebook post read.
Apart from being kept waiting for long, the comedian was also apparently not pleased by Mc Jesse's move to dance with her on stage.
"The worst thing was how MC Jesse felt he could disrespect me by performing a lurid dance with me in front of my mother and daughters pushing himself on me," Njambi noted in the post.
Short video clips of Njambi being booed while performing at Churchill show went viral on the internet.
