Speaking on Tuesday, the Suna East lawmaker said the party's stand that the report must be taken to Kenyans for approval, is not aimed at adding in more suggestions.

He further noted that only Kenyans have the power decide whether they want the document amended further or not, during the public participation exercise set for early next year.

"ODM is okay with the BBI report. It is Kenyans to decide whether there should be amendments or not," he said in an interview on Citizen TV.

During the interview, the vocal politician urged leaders across the country, to allow Kenyans read the report, and make informed individual decisions.

He accused some leaders of misleading Kenyans regarding contents of the BBI report.

"The biggest threat to the BBI report is politicians. There are certain politicians who want to gag Kenyans. If Kenyans want to talk about the report, they should and are right to do so. Let Kenyans give their views," he said.
