Renowned blogger Dennis Itumbi has hit out at Standard and Nation newspaper over their choice of today's headlines.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, Itumbi accused the two dailies of misreporting.
He criticised Sunday Standard newspaper for the headline 'Uhuru sends Ruto to drawing board'.
"Fake news! Dear Standard Kenya, the president confirmed what DP William Ruto has always said 1. Jubilee is intact 2. Jubilee had a candidate in Kibra and he lost 3. BBI will only be adopted via consensus 4. No political promises made to Tinga (Raila). What drawing board does William Ruto need?" Itumbi posed.
In another tweet, Itumbi put Sunday Nation on the spot over the headline; 'Inside plot to wrest Jubilee from Uhuru'. He said the report was not factual since the DP has always said Uhuru is his boss.
"Sunday Papers are most times a product of imagination, phantom intrigue and lies on steroids. Fake news! DP William Ruto has always been clear on this matter, the boss is H.E. Uhuru, spin all you want.William Ruto is deputy party leader and he is happy with it! Pure lies (Uwongo tupu)!" Itumbi tweeted.
