The wife of missing Dutch national, Tob Cohen, Sarah Wairimu Kamotho has been detained for 12 more days pending probe in the matter.
Wairimu, who has maintained that she is innocent appeared in court on Monday following her arrest after the wealthy businessman disappeared.
The court allowed the police to detain her long to secure her home from any form of interruption as they seek evidence in the case.
“Police are at liberty to secure the matrimonial home as a scene of the crime to which the suspect may access if need be or at her request…” read part of the ruling.
On Monday, it emerged that the tycoon was last seen in Westland before he went missing. Police reports indicate that the 71-year-old golf lover had a meal with two women before he went missing.
The detectives also said that Cohen, who was a boss at Philips Electronics, had his phone switched off at within the location. The wife and other persons have already been grilled after he went missing but the police are yet to find tangible evidence that can lead to his location.
The wife had claimed that the businessman said he was leaving for Thailand but disappeared before departing the country under unclear circumstances.
