KMTC lecturer was on Monday found murdered in cold blood in Mwingi, Kitui County.

Police officers have embarked on a probe into the murder following the discovery.  The body of the deceased was found inside a car after he was reported missing.  Confirming the incident Mwingi Central Sub-county police commander Peter Mutuma, said that the body had several injuries all over at the time of the discovery.

The eyes of the don had been gouged out when the body was discovered.  He also said that the officers have started a manhunt for the suspects of the murder, adding that the truth will be unveiled soon.

"My officers together with those from the DCI office in Mwingi have commenced investigations," Mutuma said, as quoted by Standard.

Residents thronged Mwingi Market where the body was lying in a pool of blood. The deceased was later identified as Eunice Kiema, after probe. She was working as a tutor at the KMTC, Mwingi campus until her demise.

 Police also said that she was married in Kyuso, Mwingi North.

Residents expressed their shock after the incident. They raised concern over their safety following the murder. The family of the deceased is yet to speak on the matter even as investigations continue.
