47 groups of women, youths, and people with disabilities in Uasin Gishu on Saturday benefited from the Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa Initiative.
Speaking during the event at TAC center on Saturday Uasin Gishu women representative Gladys Boss Shollei said their aim is to empower women, people with disabilities and youths across the Country.
"As women from both the senate and National Assembly we decided to help the said groups since the were marginalized and no one was helping. That is our main aim," said Shollei.
She reiterated that the over 50 women members of parliament and Senate will traverse in the 47 Counties to ensure women, youths, and people with disabilities.
"The nominated 47 groups have been given welding machines, car wash machines, sewing machines, brick welding machines, and Meko jikos which will help them earn a living," added Shollei.
Over 50 women members of parliament and Senate, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Soy member of parliament Caleb Kositany attended the function.
The group empowering women, youths, and people living with disabilities.
The women come in the initiative are from different political parties and they vowed to spread the gospel of development across the country.
