Addressing the public in a video shared on Sunday, Jumwa is heard saying that there are no recommendations for the committee in the report.

She alluded the BBI team never saw the need for the experts hence it is not necessary. Jumwa, who is a strong ally of Deputy President William Ruto, said that the report should be implemented the way it is because it has addressed major problems we are facing as a nation.

"We were told BBI is coming. One and half a year. Around Sh10 billion has been used on the report. The general public was asked some questions. The report was released and launched. They are still loitering around saying that they want a committee of experts.  Among the recommendations of the report, there is nowhere that any clause recognizes the creation of the committee of experts. Where would they have got that? Is it pretence or no pretence. Is it playing with Kenyan mind or not.

(Sisi tuliambiwa kunakuja BBI. Mwaka mmoja na nusu. Billion karibu kumi zikatumika. Wananchi wakaulizwa maswali kila mahali. Ripoti ikatolewa, ikazinduliwa. Bado wanazunguka sasa wanasema kunatakikana kuwe na committee of experts. Katika hizo recommendations zote katika ile ripoti hakuna clause yoyote ambayo inatuambia lazima tuunde committee of experts. Hiyo watakuwa wameitoa wapi? Ni unafika ama si unafika? Ni Kuchezea wakenya ama si Kuchezea Wakenya?)," he posed.

DP Ruto has also made an about-turn on the implementation of the BBI Report and has now said that he is ready for a referendum if that is the only to realize change.
