The Kisumu based side has taken KPL by storm after being promoted back from the second tier National Super League (NSL) during the 2018 season, winning three of the season’s first four games.

On Saturday, the team came from a goal down to force a 1-1 with Bandari FC at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa to maintain unbeaten run in KPL this season.

“We deserved to win the match due to the numerous chances we had. But we are happy because coming from Mombasa with a point in hand is not a bad thing after all,” the Coach said in an exclusive interview with hivisasa on Monday.

“Our major target this season is to remain in KPL. We want to remain in the league. We want to maintain our league status. Other things will come later,” added the Coach who was roped in from Kisumu All Stars towards the end of last season.

Stima is second on the KPL log with 10 points, same as  2008 Champions Mathare United but with an inferior goal difference.

The Power men have played four matches and won three.

Stima, Bandari, Kariobangi Sharks and Mathare United are the four unbeaten sides in KPL this season.

The side will host 2009 Champions Sofapaka at the Kisumu’s Moi Stadium on Tuesday, January 01, 2019, starting at 3 PM.
